Museums, monasteries and the makers behind Macedonia’s art and architecture.
Explore North Macedonia’s layered art & architecture story on an all-inclusive trip for a like-minded, international group, traveling in a comfortable 20-seat minibus.
We’ll welcome you in Skopje, where we’ll start grouping up around traditional drinks and dishes.
From there, we’ll head to Kruševo for the Makedonium, a radical fusion of sculpture and memorial that will broaden your horizons. Then we’ll continue to Veles to visit the poppy-shaped Kosturnica ossuary with vivid interior mosaics.
On the following day, we’ll move to Kocani for the hillside Monument of Freedom, where architecture and mosaic art fuse to portray the Macedonian struggle. From there we’ll move back to the capital, where we’ll read the city as an open-air museum: wander the Old Bazaar to the 15th-century Ottoman baths turned galleries, step into mosques and cathedrals, and trace post-earthquake modernism — from Kenzo Tange’s City Wall vision to the sculptural Central Post Office. Contrast it with the neoclassical makeover of “Skopje 2014”, then take sunset views from Kale Fortress.
Expect thoughtful pacing, lively context, characterful lodgings, and regional flavors, so you focus on the ideas in stone, concrete, tile, and glass, and we’ll take care of everything else.

NatureAirport pick-up, settle into your apartment, and meet your travel crew over drinks and bites. Later, enjoy your first taste of Macedonian cuisine at a traditional kafana.
Head up to the mountain town of Krushevo for the Makedonium, a radical, otherworldly fusion of sculpture and memorial. Visit the museum, the old town and try local flavours. Continue towards Veles to get a taste of the best regional dishes.
Cruise east to the hillside Monument of Freedom: a powerful ensemble where architecture and mosaic art narrate the Macedonian struggle before going back to the capital city. Light lunch, then start “reading” the city as an open-air museum. Let your guides explain how Skopje became what it is today: a melting pot of architectural designs shaped by the city’s history. Of course we couldn’t let you go without a last proper Macedonian supper.
A final neighborhood wander, a bazaar coffee, or a museum stop: shaped around flight times. Airport drop-off with cameras full and heads buzzing.
Summer’s bringing the heat, but don’t let it fool you — nights in Mavrovo, Ohrid, and Vevcani can get chilly, so pack a hoodie! And for our waterfall hikes, sturdy boots are your best friend.
