Itinerary

  • Airport pick-up, settle into your apartment, and meet your travel crew over drinks and bites. Later, enjoy your first taste of Macedonian cuisine at a traditional kafana.

  • Morning coffee and pastries, then off to the stunning Bigorski Monastery. After a hearty lunch, we’ll explore the charm of Ohrid’s old town, its lakeside views, churches, and cozy spots to eat.

  • Start with fish ciorba, then visit Sveti Naum and cruise its springs. Next stop: Matka Canyon for a boat ride to hidden caves. Evening brings us to Skopje for a city tour and our final kafana night with live music.

  • One last bowl of meat ciorba, a bit more sightseeing, and then it’s time for goodbyes and airport drop-off — hearts full and cameras full of memories.

All you need to know

  • Summer’s bringing the heat, but don’t let it fool you — nights in Mavrovo, Ohrid, and Vevcani can get chilly, so pack a hoodie! And for our waterfall hikes, sturdy boots are your best friend.

  • EU, EFTA and Western Balkans citizens: a valid biometric national ID card (paper-format or older non-biometric IDs are not accepted) or passport is sufficient. Other nationalities — visa-free entry: citizens of countries such as the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and several others can enter North Macedonia without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Schengen visa holders: travelers with a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa or a residence permit from an EU/Schengen country can enter North Macedonia visa-free for up to 15 days.
