What's included
Round-trip transport from Skopje · Guided old-town walking tour · Local guide · Free time in Ohrid
One of Europe’s oldest and deepest lakes lies around three hours south of Skopje on the border with Albania. Ohrid is recognised by UNESCO for both its cultural heritage and its natural setting.
Leave Skopje at 08:30 for a full day that includes around six hours of driving. In Ohrid, your guide introduces the ancient theatre, Plaošnik, historic lanes and Samuel’s Fortress walls, then follows the boardwalk towards St John at Kaneo.
The afternoon is free. Choose a lakeside lunch, visit the fortress, explore more of the town or swim during the warmer months, usually June to September. A Kaneo boat and swimming experience is available as an optional extra when season and weather allow.
Meals, entrance tickets and the optional boat trip are paid separately. The tour requires a minimum of two guests and returns to the meeting point in Skopje.

Meet at 08:30 and travel south, allowing around three hours for the journey.

Discover the ancient theatre, Plaošnik, old-town lanes and fortress walls, followed by the lakeside boardwalk and St John at Kaneo.

Enjoy lunch, more sightseeing or seasonal swimming at your own pace. Optional boat activities depend on the season and weather.

Regroup for the drive back to the original meeting point.
