What's included
Guided wine tasting at Chateau Sopot · Entrance to Stobi archaeological site · Lunch with estate wines at Royal Winery Queen Maria · Round-trip transport from Skopje · Local guide
Travel south from Skopje into Macedonia’s largest wine region. The Tikveš plain stretches around Kavadarci, Negotino and Demir Kapija, roughly 90 minutes from the capital.
Start at Chateau Sopot near Veles for a guided tasting overlooking the vines. Continue to Stobi, where a Roman theatre and mosaics reveal an ancient city beside the Vardar.
The long lunch stop is Royal Winery Queen Maria in Demir Kapija. Founded in 1928 for the royal family, the estate serves Macedonian food alongside its own wines. The tasting, Stobi entry and lunch wines are included.
Both estates sell bottles directly at their cellar doors. Any bottles you choose are paid for separately and travel back in the van. Return to Skopje in the early evening; a minimum of two guests is required.

Travel from Skopje for a guided winery visit and tasting, allowing around 90 minutes at the estate.

Explore the ancient site for around one hour. Entrance is included.

Enjoy approximately two hours for lunch with the estate’s own wines at Demir Kapija.

Travel back to the same meeting point, with any cellar-door purchases in the van.
